My first week of college ended a few hours ago, and it was also my first semi-week of classes.
I have come to the conclusion that I'm going to love Meredith College!
All of the professors I've had are very nice and humorous. They're easy to understand and don't waste time giving us "busy work" like the teachers in high school did.
I have realized the difference in the work load though...it's going to be hard, but it will definitely be worth it in the end. I actually wanted to take these classes, so I'm going to be taking away something from each one.
My roommate and suite-mates are awesome; we get along pretty well. we go to lunch and Ben and Jerry's together.
There's always something to do: socials, meetings, events, homework, dates,..etc.
Unfortunately, I still haven't gotten over my shyness so I'm finding it difficult to make friends. I'm always so quiet, so people think that I'm stuck-up, haha. Hopefully I will learn to break out of my shell.
I'm so glad that I chose this school! I'm proud to be a part of the Meredith community.
But, I am slightly homesick. I did not go home the first weekend, and I'm missing my grandmother and sister terribly. My boyfriend and his father came and visited me Friday and took me out to eat, and I was very happy to see them.
Oh, and I love the food in the dining hall! I feel the freshman fifteen creeping up on me...
